10th International FMM Summer School: Keynesian Macroeconomics and European Economic Policies

From 24th to 29th August, the 10th FMM International Summer School took place in Berlin. About 42 graduate students (MA and PhD) and junior researchers came together for the Summer School, which aimed at providing an introduction to Post-Keynesian macroeconomics and current economic policy issues. It consisted of overview lectures, student study groups, an SFC modelling lab and a panel discussion on globalization and trade policy.
The Summer School featured leading international researchers in the field of Post-Keynesian economics, including Eckhard Hein (Germany), Mark Setterfield (US), Miriam Rehm (Germany), Marc Lavoie (France/Canada), Leila Davis (US), Heike Joebges (Germany), Sebastian Gechert (Germany), Yannis Dafermos (UK) and Maria Nikolaidi (UK), covering the following areas:
- History and Fundamentals of Post-Keynesian Economics
- Distribution and Growth
- Inequality and Ecology
- Money and Macro
- Financialization and Market Power
- Money and Development
- Economic Policy
- Stock-Flow Consistent Modelling and the Environment
