Jan Behringer, geb. 1986, studierte Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen und an der Universität St. Gallen. Er promovierte an der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, mit Studienaufenthalten im Bavarian Graduate Program in Economics (BGPE) und am Center for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI) in Madrid. Seit 2012 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Makroökonomie und Konjunkturforschung (IMK)  der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung. 2012-2015 Doktorandenprogramm des IMK. 2015-2019 wissenschaftlicher Referent für Steuer- und Finanzpolitik. 2019-2021 Referatsleiter für Allgemeine Wirtschaftspolitik. Seit 2022 Referatsleiter für Makroökonomie der Einkommensverteilung. Seit 2017 Mitglied der Koordinierungsgruppe des Forum for Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policies (FMM). Seit 2020 Lehrtätigkeit am Institut für Sozioökonomie der Universität Duisburg-Essen.

Jan Behringer, born in 1986, studied economics at the University of Tübingen and at the University of St. Gallen. He received his PhD in economics from the University of Würzburg, with study visits at the Bavarian Graduate Program in Economics (BGPE) and the Center for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI) in Madrid. Since 2012 research fellow at the Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK) in the Hans Böckler Foundation. 2012-2015 junior economist at the IMK. 2015-2019 senior economist in the Tax and Fiscal Policy unit. 2019-2021 head of unit Economic Policy. Since 2022 head of unit Macroeconomics of Income Distribution. Since 2017 member of the coordination group of the Forum for Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policies (FMM). Since 2020 lecturer at the Institute for Socioeconomics at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
